DMV has reported that as of 12/31/02 there were 117,336 vehicles
registered under the ATV registration program, up about 19% from 2001.

This also means registrants paid over $1.17 million in 2002 in registration fees into the general fund and saw no return in the form of ATV trails. (This does not include sales tax on new machine sales, which would eclipse this figure by far at possibly over $15M.)
